Led strip lighting hasn't quite managed to find its way out of its main purpose of illuminating the underside of kitchen cabinets and worktops. Its a shame because one their overriding features it that they come with a remote control to switch on and off. It doesn't sound like much of a plus, but it is a joy to use and seems sadly lacking in all the other accent lights we have. The idea was to use the reflected light of the wall to create a more atmospheric room light so I wanted the fitting itself to be fairly discreet. The tripod legs and handle shaped top give it a stick like appearance, especially as it is seen in silhouette when the wall behind is backlit.
